Magic Resistance

Hello Guys.

I’m AKA and today I have continuous of previous topic that is ‘Magic Resistance’. So, as we know that if there is status resistance for reducing the effect of negative status effect there is also a provision in which we can reduce the magic damage we receive from enemy heroes.

In dota 2 there are hero and items that gives magic damage which sometimes can be very difficult to play against. So, in order to reduce it we need items or some of the heroes have abilities that gives them magic resistance.

Note :- Every hero in dota 2 match starts with 25% magic resistance.

There are items like BKB, Mage Slayer, Pipe of insight etc. makes you to take reduce magic damage by give you magic resistance. Just because every hero in dota 2 have 25% magic resistance it is not compulsory for carry hero to make items related to magic resistance. As we all know carry make BKB which indeed makes you spell immune so abilities which are magic and do not pierce spell immunity cannot harm you. Hero like pudge has his passive ability which gives him magic resistance.

Mostly it is the role of support or off lane hero to make aura items that absorb magic resistance. Let’s take an example how magic resistance works. Assume you are a carry hero and in your lane is lion and he is level six and he sees you at low health so he wants to use finger on you to secure the kill. But assume your health is 600 and he thinks he can kill you so he uses finger on you. Here is the catch you will not die because as we know every hero has 25% magic resistance so instead of 600 damage you will receive 450 damage because of magic resistance so in this way it works.

Status Effect :- Silence

Hello Guys, I'm AKA here and today we are gonna start a series of topic related to Status Effect .   What is status effect?. In simple terms status effect is a debuff that affects you negatively. There are many types of Status effect one of them is Silence . Silence :- The above image is just a representation of silence. When a enemy hero silences you, as a hero you are not able to use your abilities (spells) for a particular amount of time. Now if you have silence in your hero then great or if enemy hero has it there are ways to deal with it. Silence is good against heroes like Juggernaut and Lifestealer etc because they have in build BKB (will be explained in further post). So if you silence them then they can be killed easily (if they do not have dispel). There are many items for dispelling silence and some of the hero's have in build dispel like Slark and Tidehunter etc. Items like Guardian greaves, Manta Style, Satanic, BKB etc. can dispel silence and give you advantage. Shadow Blade or Glimmer Cape

Hello Guys, I’m AKA and today I have brought you guys a new topic that is ‘ Shadow Blade or Glimmer Cape ’. As we discussed some items are categories based on the roles like carry and support. As we first consider glimmer cape this is something a support player goes so that on ganking him he has something to escape. The good part of glimmer cape is that it cast during channeling which means spells like freezing field, black hole, death ward etc. Some time what happens is enemy hero does not have dust and when you cast your channeling spell that there are chances you might get a kill. So, in this way you can win a team fight. the best part of glimmer cape is that it can be casted on our friends which mean not only you but you can also help your core to escape a fight.
